On September 20th the Scarborough Sharks Midget AA team played and Exhibition game against the China Qiqihar R&D Hockey team.  The game was part of a 20 game schedule to help prepare the Chinese players for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.  At the end of the 608 minute of hard played hockey, the Sharks cam out on top with a 1-0 victory.


China Qiqihar Randy Ice Hockey Team is located in Qiqihar, China, and founded in 2002, the team has become the most powerful women’s club team in China, and has 9 former national team members on its roster. They will be practicing daily and playing a 20 game schedule with 10 games at The Sports Village at the Midget AA level. This competition, and other programs like this, are designed to strengthen China’s ice hockey program in advance of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Click here to view their roster.
