Health & Safety Protocols
While the city is completing screening and contact tracing for anyone entering the rink, teams are still required to adhere to the SSGHA – RTH COVID-19 RESPONSE PLAN which requires teams to complete health screening and collect contact tracing information for all participants at a team event.

Arena Health & Saftey Protocols
Restrictions
- Facial Masks must be worn except when on the ice.
- Any person who enters or uses the facility must maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from any other person who is using the facility (this includes on Ice activities).
- There will be no congregating in common spaces (i.e. lobby)
Total People On the Ice
10 people maximum on the ice or surrounding areas.
- 8 players
- 1 coach
- 1 trainer can be on the ice or off the ice
Development only, no games or scrimmages.
Facial Masks are not required on the ice surface but as soon as you leave the ice surface a mask must be worn.
Spectators & Non Ice Staff
No spectators are permitted.
Entering and Exiting
Players and team staff will enter the back entrance (main entrance is closed due to construction) for screening by city staff. With the new restrictions of 10 people inside at once you will need to wait until the previous team has fully exited or City staff allows you to enter in as one group.
When exiting the facility this must be completed before the zamboni makes two loops around the ice surface. When all players and staff have exited the next group of 10 can enter the facility. Please exit through the designated fire door at the end of the dressing room hall following the session.
To speed up the process of screening and the collection of contact tracing information by city staff, we will be providing the city with a list of each team’s players and staff so that the city can use this information as an attendance list for each session.
Dressing Rooms
The dressing rooms are closed, unless required for medical purposes.
All players should arrive full dressed. Skates can be put on in 4 designated bleachers marked 1 through 4. These are considered "dressing rooms" and each team will be assigned bleachers to complete changing or to put on skates. The bleachers will have stickers on the seating surfaces indicating where to sit for proper distancing.
Team Benches
The team benches and penalty boxes are not to be used.

To speed up the process of screening and the collection of contact tracing information by city staff, we have provided the arena staff with a list of player and team staff and their contact information, so that the city can use this information for contact tracing and screening confirmation for each session.

Rink 1
Players and staff should enter Rink 1 from the lobby through the “enter” door on the rink level, exit through the “exit” door into the lobby and exit the facility through the West lobby doors.
Rink 2
Players and staff should enter Rink 2 from the lobby through the “enter” door and walk around the right-hand side of the rink to their assigned dressing rooms. Players will then exit through the fire door at the far end of the rink coming out on the west side of the building just before the tennis courts

Once inside the facility, players and team staff will be directed to follow a path to their rink and follow signage as it relates to distancing.

To speed up the process of screening and the collection of contact tracing information by city staff, upon arrival teams are required to provide the city screener with a hard copy list of their players and staff with contact details so that the city can use this information for contact tracing and screening confirmation for each session.
